Bright and breezy, white on white...the Hadley display opens in Mulgoa Rise

The very first Hadley on display has opened in Mulgoa Rise in Sydney's South West. Designed for the modern family, the Hadley has the perfect balance of living, entertaining space and private space for rest and downtime.

On the ground floor, an open plan living space integrates with the alfresco for seamless outdoor living. A media lounge and study make this floor a practical layout today’s busy family.

On the upper floor is a spacious master suite, three further bedrooms and an open plan retreat for a quiet space away from the busy downstairs hub.

The interior has been designed by Windemere Interiors in a "Modern Classic" theme. A modern take on classic style, this serene and calming theme uses white on white for a space that is warm and inviting.

With layers of neutral tones, the theme has a play on textures instead of colours and patterns for depth and dimension.

Classic furniture in clean, light timbers are paired with soft furnishings in textured neutrals for elegant and graceful style.

New Adenbrook home for the Taylors

A hearty congratulations to the Taylor family in Drewvale on moving into their brand new Adenbrook home.

Gregory and Isobel chose to modify the Baywood, one of Adenbrook's most popular home designs, to suit their needs and the customised design is now affectionately known as the ‘Baby Baywood’.

"We were both impressed with the care taken on a personal level to keep us up to speed every step of the way. Our building supervisor gave us a weekly update and any emails or phone calls made by us were always promptly followed up by the team."

With the help of Windermere Interiors, the Taylors combined a timber-like floor with cool, light coloured walls, creating a home that is fresh yet warm and inviting.

"We are both very happy in our new home and all who have come through our doors so far cannot get over how spacious it is and they all love the openness we have been able to create. They also love the lack of internal walls with so many windows and glass doors leading and opening up to the outside."

The Baywood opens to glitz and glamour in Mackay

Adenbrook's latest display has opened at The Waters Ooralea in Mackay. The "Baywood" is one of our most popular design, a spacious family home with separate zones for living, entertaining and relaxing, with an isolated parents retreat and generous alfresco.

The display has been decorated in a decadent "Glitz and Glamour" theme by Adenbrook's award winning interior designers, Windemere Interiors. Lush carpet, shimmery fabrics in tones of gold and copper and decadent, Arte wallpaper make this interior distinct and designer. 

Peter Greenslade, Adenbrook's builder in the Mackay Whitsunday region, says the feedback since the opening of the display has been very positive. "The display has been a wonderful showcase for visitors to walk through and experience the thoughtful design and quality of structure and finish," said Peter, "it's also a great opportunity for visitors to ask questions."

Peter has over 20 years in the local building industry and has seen many changes in the area since he began. "There are so many new developments in the region and more opportunities than ever to build a brand new home exactly the way you would like it. We are seeing all types of families and singles building homes and it's such an exciting time in the area," he said.

Building the Finlay for the Druces

Adenbrook Homes Brisbane West have recently had the pleasure of building the Finlay design for family Bevan and Zoe Druce in Brisbane's Western suburbs.

The Finlay is one of Adenbrooks larger single storey homes with spacious family living and entertaining areas.  Bevan & Zoe selected the upgrade Option B design  (35.8sq) which includes a child’s retreat area in addition to the media lounge, study and alfresco.

The complete build from start to handover was completed in 18 weeks, including driveways, fencing tiling and carpets as a turn-key package.  With the help of Windermere Interiors, Bevan and Zoe selected a stylish grey theme internally and externally, a combination of contrasting dark charcoal and light tones throughout the home which complemented the large central living zones which were tiled with porcelain floor tiles.

Bevan works away in the mines, so each stage of the build was communicated by sending regular photos and emails.  When Bevan was at home in Brisbane regular site visits were organised with the construction supervisor to walk them through the build of their new home.


How was your build with Adenbrook Homes? 

From the beginning, walking through Adenbrook display homes and speaking with Adenbrooks personable staff we felt comfortable and saw great quality and style in the homes they build. It was exciting in all stages and the design aspect was so much fun we don't know why we felt anxious. We really trusted all of the advice and help Adenbrook gave us and all those special touches and tweaks they did for us has made our home that much more special and stylish. From start to finish we were involved at every step. When the build is complete you have the house you helped to design with every tile, colour, appliance and fitting that you hand picked.


Were you kept up to date with the progress of the house build?

Bevan and I loved the walk throughs, especially taking our daughters to see their home being built from start to finish. Whenever there was a new development photographs were emailed to us the same day which was greatly appreciated. We were so involved in every aspect of the build we never once felt out of the loop or unsure. It was a process we walked through together. Adenbrook really understands the need for communication, we wouldn't have had it any other way.

Were any concerns dealt with within a satisfactory time frame?

This was our first building experience and our first home. A few minor hiccups did occurr during build and after completion. We also changed our mind about a few things right at the last minute, but was it an issue? Never! It was so easy to communicate with all of the Adenbrook team. It was as simple as signing a piece of paper, scan and email back and just like that it was sorted.

Would you build with Adenbrook Homes again?

The short answer is Yes. The long answer: You can have a Beautiful new home in 18 weeks that you oversee at every stage and results were exactly what we wanted.

Tribal Rhythm

Tribal is the global phenomenon that’s sweeping the fashion world, seen in designer collections worldwide and chain stores throughout Australia. The trend is a blend of rich, Aztec colours, animal prints, earthy textures and symbolic motifs.

Now the world's hottest fashion trend has inspired the world of interior design and the exotic theme has gone from catwalk to the home creating bold interiors of primal character and spicy warmth.

Interior Designer Lindy Evans says runway themes often mirror interior design themes and tribal has been extremely popular in fashion and in the home. "The tribal theme has warmth and character and gives the home a comfortable and casual feel. It's easy to create and easy to update and maintain," she said.

To recreate this theme, Lindy suggests drawing inspiration from the visual and aromatic feast of an African food market. “Think rustic red hues and earthy tones of the Savannah landscape to create a calming canvas, then add splashes of vibrant colour to delight the senses. Dark, solid aged timber furniture is balanced with warm lighting create a serene ambience,” she said.
